The nighttime ventures have begun with random photographing, eluding fixation on a pre-selected aim. Spontaneous series of photographs came into being, resembling a visual diary, photographic notes based on the not-a-single-day-without-a-line principle. Going with the flow of the process, instead of trying to manage it, has resulted in an authentic artistic expression: from an inarticulate sense, the individual truth takes on a universally recognizable form. Invisible internal turmoil and emotional threads of sadness, separation, and loneliness find a visual expression in Denkovic’s open and mobile studio space. There are settlements, parts of the city, its streets, crossroads, parks, and buildings… Yet, these sights do not refer to the names of toponyms; they rather awaken us from the trance of collective alexithymia.
