Born in Finland.

Juhani Järvinen is graduated from Finnish Fine Art Academy, department of painting and printmaking. Participated in exhibitions in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, America, South- Korea, Germany, Portugal, Great-Britain, Croatia, Lithuania and Italy. Works in public and private collections in Finland and abroad.

He has been a Rector of Imatra Arts School 1994 -1998, Dean of culture 1998-2010 and  professor 2010 -2016 in Saimaa University of applied sciences.

Since 2009 he has been a member of Master´s Thesis Commission in Technology and Design university of St.Petersburg, worked with Master´s Thesis in Finnish Academy of Fine Arts and Aalto university. Has been a president of the international jury in Novosibirsk Graphic Art Bienniale 2012 and Finnish curator 2018, Russia. Has been a Finnish member of the jury in Baltic countries Graphic bienniale in Kaliningrad 2011, 2013 and 2015. Have had seminare presentations and lectures for example: State university of St.Petersburg, Tartu Art college, Granada University, St.Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, National Academy of Bulgaria, South Ural University, Palermo Art Academy. Ekaterinburg Academy of Contemporary Art, Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, Chelyabinsk Regioon Art Museum, Pärnu Contemporary Art Museum....

He is member of Finnish Artist´s association, Arsnova and Jyväskylä artist´s association. Has been chairman in South-Karelian Artist´s Union 2010-2014. He is honore member in West Geogian university, USA, has been member in Steering group European Fine Art Forum 2010- 2014, worked in Ministery of Eduation, has been curator of many exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
